Beautyfire Try-On · Last updated 30 October 2026
Beautyfire Try-On ("the app") is a Shopify app by Global App Technologies that lets shoppers see wigs from a Shopify store on their own photo. This policy explains what information the app handles, why, who processes it, and how long it's kept. It covers merchants who install the app and shoppers who use the try-on on a merchant's store.
Shoppers' photos
- What: the photo a shopper chooses for a try-on.
- How: before upload, the photo is resized on the shopper's device to at most 1,024 pixels. It's sent through the app's server to Replicate, our AI provider, only to create the look.
- How long: the app deletes the uploaded photo from Replicate as soon as the look is ready, and Replicate removes the inputs and outputs of these requests within an hour. Neither the app nor the merchant's store stores shoppers' photos or looks. Looks stay in the shopper's browser for that visit, unless the shopper downloads them.
- Before a shopper's first photo, the try-on screen explains this, and the shopper chooses whether to continue.
Other information about shoppers
- Daily limit: to apply the merchant's "looks per shopper per day" limit, the app keeps a one-way, keyed hash made from the shopper's Shopify customer ID (if logged in) or IP address. The hash can't be turned back into the ID or address. It's stored with each look's record: the time, the wig's product ID and the result status.
- On the shopper's device: the app stores a random identifier and whether the shopper has seen the photo notice, in the browser's local and session storage.
- The app doesn't receive shoppers' names, email addresses, orders, payment details or any other customer data from Shopify.
Merchants

How long information is kept
- Shoppers' photos and looks: deleted as described above, within an hour at most.
- Merchant information and records of looks: kept while the app is installed. Uninstalling the app deletes the settings and records of looks straight away. When Shopify sends its data deletion request (shop/redact, 48 hours after uninstall), the remaining store data is deleted.
- Support conversations: kept so that we can follow up, until a merchant asks us to delete them.
Your rights
You can ask what information we hold about you or your store, and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing noxy.skye@gmail.com. Shoppers can also contact the store they shopped with. We respond to Shopify's customer data and deletion requests (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact).
Security
Requests from storefronts are verified with Shopify's signature, and all traffic uses HTTPS.
